Newly Refined Home

Reuse Redesign Reupholster

Traditional Update

Interior Transformations was advertising for an upcoming presentation when these homeowners learned of our company and its services. They were excited because they had been contemplating a renovation of their Kitchen and updates in their home but did not know where to begin.

Working with a tight budget and knowing that the renovation/update would occur in phases we came up with a master plan that we could address in stages. We began with the kitchen but due to the flow of the home, we recommended that the same hardwood flooring be installed from the front door to and through the kitchen. This visually expanded their Foyer, Living room, and Kitchen spaces. In addition, new carpet was selected for the steps leading upstairs.

In the Kitchen, appliances were kept, however cabinets, countertops, and lighting were replaced. One of the main challenges of this space was the four doorways. To help unify the space we added cabinetry at the far end of the room. A pantry/broom closet on one side of a doorway and a glass light upper cabinet with base cabinet on the other balanced the room and provided needed storage.

In the Living and Dining Rooms, we created custom window treatments. Since the homeowner loved the comfort and style of their furnishings, and their pieces were good quality, we added new cushions and reupholstered existing furnishings to complement the look of their new color scheme. The redesign was completed with additional lighting and accessories. A great example of green design, we were able to reuse what our clients already owned and loved.
