2 Story Custom Window Treatments

Transitional Style

A Silent Auction is what started this relationship and wedding preparations fueled the fire. The homeowners had lived in their home for several years and had not tackled what to do with their large six window, two story, north-facing window wall. With their daughter’s upcoming wedding they bid at a Silent Auction for design services. A design solution was needed to combat the glare as well as the echoing throughout their Family Room.

Before we could select a fabric the homeowner was approached about the need to change the wall color in their Family Room. The colors in the adjoining spaces were much more vibrant while the Family Room colors were very pale. With permission to change the wall color, a custom treatment was designed to add a focal point and unify the six windows.

As a bonus they saved money on their heating and cooling expenses due to the insulation of the custom window treatments. These added textiles drastically reduced the echoing and glare that occurred. Much needed wide beam spread recessed lighting was added to improve their ambient and accent lighting.
