Historic Renovation/Addition
What was so exciting about this renovation is we tried to preserve the essence of the style of this 200 year old home. The beautiful paneled doors, the heart pine wood that the black and white diamond pattern was painted on, working around the 24” thick stone wall between the kitchen and the Master Bedroom Suite hallway offered some challenges. This home’s selections married the tastes of a button collector/procurer with an engineer. Hubbardton Forge lighting fixtures, deep rich cabinetry, and elegant granite were featured throughout. As it turned out the paint colors gave the biggest challenge while we looked for muted sophisticated colors. John S. Lehman the architect and Andrew Lohmeyer the contractor worked wonders as we collaborated to bring this home to the 21st century!
