People are decorating earlier and using an abundance of lights. Christmas trees sales are up with purchases being made earlier than usual.
Nostalgia is certainly popular this year with toys that many of us enjoyed as children making a comeback. An article in the Washington Post stated that the hottest toys include the bright yellow Tonka Mighty Dump truck, Barbies, Hot Wheels, Legos, puzzles, and board games. Parents and grandparents are buying tried and true toys that are familiar and that will engage children for longer periods of time.
